Adrian
Bulman Passes Away----
at the age of 53. He is survived by his wife Beth
and sons Aaron (17) and Evan (14). Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on
Tuesday (1/16) at Northside Chapel at Crabapple in Roswell, Ga (770-645-1414).
Adrian had been hospitalized on New Year's Day for chest pains. However, the doctors
determined he had ulcers of the esophagus and asthma, but there was very little
heart blockage. Cause of death is not known at this time. May God hold his family
and friends in the palm of his hand during the days to come.

Kit, I am Michael Losey, Adrian Bulman's partner in the leasing business (American
Leasing & Financial, Inc., & e-leasing, Atlanta, GA).
Some will know the both
of us from our years of formation, and then being officers of NAELB, others will
know of Adrian through our industry.
With heavy heart I want to apprise
you, and therefore the leasing industry, that Adrian passed away tonight, Saturday,
January 13, 2001. I have had the privilege of being his partner for 16 years.
Adrian and I met in 1978 when he started his equipment leasing company
and I was in the car leasing business. He used to send me car leases, I would
send him equipment leases. He taught me the equipment leasing business. The reason
we joined forces and became partners in 1986 was due to the fact that you could
always count on Adrian holding up to his end of the bargain on any deal, always!
His word was his bond.
Over the years in our partnership in ALF he strove
to bring honor and integrity to our business. He hated it as much when brokers
took advantage of funding sources as when funding sources stole brokers' vendors
and residuals. He would spend tireless hours on the phone giving advice to new
and inexperienced brokers. So much so that I always complained of his spending
too much time on helping others to his own detriment.
I could wax poetically
about him and his character - I, and the industry and his friends, will miss him!
I, for one, will see him again!
Michael Losey

Adrian had written a "State
of the Industry" report:
http://www.leasingnews.org/archives/December/12-27-00.htm
He had been working a new ending to the report, what we were calling a "coda."
He said he hated to be in the hospital, but it gave him some time to think. He
asked me if I thought it "important." I told him his first report was very popular,
he had received a lot of positive comments, and new brokers were especially impressed
to get a better understanding of the leasing industry today.
Adrian was
very active and one of the early founders/promoters of the National Association
of Equipment Lease Brokers. www.naelb.org
Although I did not have the pleasure of working directly with Adrian in NAELB
matters as he was long before my time, I did speak to him several times. He was
instrumental in uncovering the Atlanta fraud ring a few years back and was a pillar
of the leasing and broker industry. My sympathies to his family and friends.

Adrian is also the person responsible for Leasing News list. He first sent it
to us as a Sierra Cities internal memo to salesmen to go over the accounts from
a list of leasing companies no longer in business. We researched the list, brought
it up to date, and that is how it began. Adrian was also sending in things to
share with others in the leasing business.
He will be missed.
